What’s the minimum booking?
Two hours. Studio A is $85/hr and Studio B is $65/hr. Your booked time includes setup and strike, so arrive ready.
What are your hours?
Open 8am to 8pm, every day.
What’s in Studio A?
1,684 sq ft built around a seamless white cyclorama, with north-facing daylight and blackout control. The hair and makeup room is just off the set.
Where do we park and load in?
Free parking on site and a freight elevator to the 3rd floor at 161 N Grant Ave. Load-in and load-out happen inside your booked time.
How many people can we bring?
Studio A holds 30 and Studio B holds 15, counting crew, talent and clients. Larger productions book the full floor.
What’s included?
Hair and makeup room, changing room, wardrobe racks and steamer, four long production tables, WiFi and a lobby for clients.
Can we book the whole floor?
Yes. Studios A and B together are 2,600 sq ft: $100/hr at the founding rate, $500 for a half day or $1,000 for a full day. Send a request with your date.
What if we cancel or reschedule?
Up to 48 hours before your start time, the full amount is held as studio credit for 12 months. Inside 48 hours, the booking is charged in full.
What if we run over?
Overtime is billed at the room’s hourly rate in 30-minute increments, subject to the next booking. Tell us before your session if you might need more time.
Do we need insurance?
Productions with 10 or more people, outside equipment rentals or rigging need a certificate of insurance naming Lafayette Studios LLC and the building owner as additional insured, sent 48 hours ahead. Everyone else is covered by the house policy for ordinary use.
Can we host a workshop or private event?
Yes. Send a request with your date, hours and headcount and we’ll confirm what the space can do.
Who rents the studio?
Photographers, filmmakers, brands, agencies and content teams, for campaigns, lookbooks, editorials, castings, product and portrait work. No membership needed to book.
Is lighting or grip included?
No. The studio comes as the space: cyc, daylight, blackout, production tables and the hair and makeup room. Bring your own kit, or ask and we’ll connect you with local rental houses and crew.
Where exactly is it?
Downtown Columbus at 161 N Grant Ave, 3rd Floor. Free parking on site and a freight elevator to the floor.
